Awarded to a young sugar maker in recognition of an outstanding project in the maple industry. Presented by the New Hampshire Maple Producers Association.
2004: Top Maple Award Goes to Temple Boy
The 2004 Carlisle Trophy for excellence in maple syrup production went to fifteen-year-old Benjamin Fisk who operates Ben’s Sugar Shack in Temple, NH. Fisk’s Grade A Medium Amber syrup took first place at Cheshire and Hillsborough County Fairs. It was then entered into the Carlisle competition at the annual meeting of the New Hampshire Maple Producers Association. Top fair entries from across the state competed for the trophy and Fisk’s syrup prevailed.
